A quick reminder for everyone: there is no senior club swim this evening.
Tonight is the Junior Series 1000m event.
All juniors taking part should meet at Mike’s Slip at 6pm. The course will run from Mike’s Slip to St Catherine’s, so parents, please be ready to help with kit transport and collection at the finish.

Good luck to all our junior swimmers — enjoy the swim!

Sunday saw a new club swim added to the swim programme - a point to point 1.2km swim from Gorey Castle to Anneport - with a nice little tidal 'woosh' to help everyone along!
Beautiful swim with beautiful scenery. We are so lucky!

Our very own Graeme has written a book!!!

7/21/2026

I've written a book!
A proper book, called A Life Well Swum, that will be available through Amazon and bookshops.
It's the story of my return to long distance swimming in my forties, from my first swim round Jersey to taking on the English Channel, the Catalina Channel off California and the North Channel between Ireland and Scotland.
It's for swimmers, supporters and anyone who has ever wondered what it’s like to swim for hours through jellyfish or in the dark. Although the swims are important, the story is really about taking on challenges later in life, learning to rely on others and overcoming doubts to pursue a dream.
Publication is planned for late August. If you'd like to find out more, read a free sample chapter or sign up for occasional updates, you'll find everything at https://alifewellswum.com/
I'll also be posting updates on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ALifeWellSwum
If you know someone who enjoys swimming, adventure or memoirs, I'd be delighted if you shared this post.

Tonight (Tuesday 21st July) is the first swim of the Junior Series — the 800m, starting at St Catherine’s slipway around a designated course and back. Meet at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
Quick recap: it’s 3 swims of increasing distance (800m tonight, 1000m on 28th July, 1600m on 12th September), with certificates for each swim completed. All three must be done in the same category to qualify for the Series Prize, with fastest combined time winning. Prizes for girls and boys across four age groups, with wetsuit and non-wetsuit categories, and shortened courses available for our younger swimmers.
For regular club swimmers: the usual club swim is running alongside the Junior Series tonight as normal — but note next Tuesday (28th July) there will be no organised club swim for masters, as we’ll be focused on running the 1000m Junior Series leg (Mike’s slipway to St Catherine’s). Please spread the word
